Having a strong Flying-type makes a lot of sense for a golfer. No need for a cart when your buddy can just Fly you between shots! I wouldn't cheat by having my Pokemon alter the wind, though.
I'd also like a Water-type that could retrieve my ball from the pond, and maybe a Grass- or Ground-type that can help find stuff in the rough.
