But that doesn't excuse remaking a GB game on the Switch with less mechanics. Or no abilities. Or no proper challenge. Or excluding over 600 pokemon. Or frame drops. Or mobile phone quality graphics. Or omitting Sevii Islands. Or lack of proper double battles. Or triple battles. Or any battle variants. Or the lack of custom animations for moves. Or excluding 75% of established moves. Or lack of hold items. Or the five second black screen when you exit buildings. Or the lack of wild battles. I could go on.
Catering to all difficulty is fine. But you can't make a barebones, lazily designed game and then use the "I want the kids to play it" as an excuse. Because it is an excuse.
