Spritzee makes a nice companionable healer and it's perfumes would keep the place smelling fresh. Also every team needs a dragon slayer.
Pikachu's been my fav since before I even knew the anime existed so I had to include him. He doubles as water transport and free electricity so he's very practical.
Altaria makes for a comfy air ride. I can imagine easily taking naps during long travels.
Quilava is my fav starter if you don't include Yellow and he makes a nice heated body pillow.
Torterra would be good for land travel especially through mountains and caves. His trees keep the air fresh and I could also have a little garden on his back for fresh food.
Munna ensures everyone rests easy and has sweet dreams. Also I just really want to hug one.
