Is there anyone here besides me who thinks Ash's Sceptile is way better than his other iconic powerhouses, mainly Charizard and Greninja?
I recently rewatched DP, and I gotta say, this nigga was the MVP in the semifinal. He's the only mon to take out that broken darkrai in the entire league, that's literally the most amazing fit any of Ash's pokemon ever did. Sure, Greninja cornered a champion's ace, Pikachu tied with a Latios and took out Regice, Charizard won against an Articuno, but taking out Darkrai is more impressive in my opinion than a champion's mon, or legendary golems or birds (Noivern, in comparison, who functioned as XY's Torterra, heavily injured a Zapdos)
Both Pikachu and Charizard have jobbed many times for no reason (that Charizard vs Dusclops battle..) and let's not even mention Greninja, for obvious reasons.
Sceptlie didn't job like them in important battles, took out a broken legendary mon in his normal mode (without even activating overgrow), and yet I don't see his popularity skyrockets among the fanbase like Greninja or Charizard, which is pretty unfortunate.
