FF1 doesn't have the monks use any ki or aura powers, but Aura is a named reoccurring ability for monks later in the series and it actually is a healing ability. Except in FF8 where its a spell that grants the Aura status effect, which boosts the odds that a character will randomly be able to use their ultimate level abilities during battle. So if I ever move on to writing beyond FF1 it would likely come up because Monk is my favorite class.
