It took us so long to get to Milo to fight for our first badge, but we're already in Hulbury ready to take on Nessa for our second! Places your bets on how we do!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZxpCArMiUI>>41525766As you can see, we are CURRENTLY nuzlocking SwSh! One per named area (so yeah, the wild area is broken up to a lot of sub areas) has made a lot of sense to us, and we've been letting us catch our pokemon however we like, so long as it's the first one we start a battle with in the given area. We've rapidly decided that trying to catch pokemon through the max raid battles as much as possible in the Wild Area is a lot of fun.
>>41526516About only having grass encounters: mixed bag. I could see limiting yourself to only random grass encounters to make it more challenging, but I also REALLY like the idea of trying to catch pokemon in the max raid battles in a Nuzlocke, and there's something about franticly running away from a pokemon you don't want that's trying to chase you that I think adds to the whole thing. Speaking for our own Nuzlocke, if they didn't have visible overworld encounters that we were okay with catching, I think we would have limited ourselves to ONLY new Pokemon for our first run. They're who we really want to play with, after all.
>>41527332Some of the people you're responding to seem like they're getting overly emotionally invested in whether or not other people want to use the rule set they want to use. Different people want different things out of the games. I know when I play something like X and Y, even if I'm doing it as a Nuzlocke and looking for a challenge, I still want to use the big flagship things for the games. Like, sure, it's more challenging to go through a game without using megas or Z moves, but that's not the ONLY factor to judge your nuzlocke by.
