Shit went bad pretty quickly.
>Try to fish, find a level 24 Chinchou with Volt Absorb.
>Think I can pretty much PP stall it until it becomes safe to catch. Swap between Bonzi and Bond to take the Bubblebeams and Sparks for about 6 turns until, for some unknowable reason, the AI chooses to Spark on the Lightning Rod pokemon as I swap out to Bond, killing him instantly. I also try to use my Toxel to run away but that was just incredibly stupid of me. RIP
And then Nessa, who I thought had a level cap of 22.
>Nessa sends out Goldeen, I send out Bonzi. Bonzi takes out Goldeen with two Shock Waves but is left at dangerously low HP.
>Nessa sends out Arrokuda, swap out to Luci as she takes a very weak Aqua Jet. She then trades Headbutts as the Arrokuda uses Whirlpool, eventually felling the fish.
>By the end, Nessa sends out her level TWENTY-FOUR Drednaw as Luci's on 3 HP, I swap out to Ripple to tank a Max Geyser but it does way more than I expected. Ripple then protects the next turn, surviving a Max Darkness. I then swap to Tickson who takes the final Max Darkness semi-well as the rain ends. Figuring Tickson can survive at least one hit, I try to set up Reflect but I forgot about Swift Swim and Drednaw outspeeds, killing Tickson with a crit Razor Shell. I swap to Ren to dynamax and use Max Knuckle that does half of Drednaw's HP as Drednaw hits a nasty Razor Shell. The rain stops and I assume Ren outspeeds, but even without the rain, the Drednaw outspeeds Ren and kills him with another Razor Shell. I then swap to Bonzi who I assume is faster than the big turtle, but he is not and is taken out by a Headbutt. With Luci at 3 HP and Ripple at 7 HP, I send out Nirvana to hopefully take it out with one Shadow Ball but it leaves the Drednaw just in the red. With no other options left, I let Nirvana die and have his Aftermath take out the Drednaw.
It was really sloppy and I was underleveled, not much else to it. I might go to the Isle of Armor to get encounters if it gets bad.
