Like anyone else would tell you, though, XY failed as a single player experience. The plot and characters were very forgettable. I know it's easy to say "lol who cares about plot in a Pokemon game" but for the gen to come out after 5, which imo is the best example of storytelling in the series, it felt glaringly obvious that XY was lacking that.
And fuck the permanent rollerskates, I still hate that shit
