Right, it was difficult narrowing this down to 10. But here goes. Before we begin, yes I'm aware I have terrible taste.
10. Arbok. I'm a sucker for Poison types. They're effortlessly cool without being as try-hard as some of the Dark types. Also, I fucking love snakes.
9. Medicham. I hated the design to start with, but I love how quirky it's power is. Mediocre attack stat but an ability that doubles it? I know it's a bit gimmicky, but I think it makes it different.
8. Weezing. Absolute bro, right from the start. Amazing defence, incredibly versatile and only one weakness. Unfairly overlooked, I think.
7. Swanna. Yes, that 4x electric weakness is a bitch, but it's arguably the coolest 'bird' Pokemon. To me, anyway. Braviary and Skarmory can suck my dick.
6. Yanmega. So easy to sweep with. Speed Boost and already solid SP Attack means that when it's on a roll, it's pretty much unstoppable. Also it's a fucking huge dragonfly.
5. Tentacruel. Another poison type just because I love them so much. Very versatile, works as well as a sweeper as it does as a support.
4. Altaria. Crippling weakness, but utterly adorable and packs a solid punch. Cotton Guard is a nice treat, and Dragon Dance helps too.
3. Grumpig. I love it for the same reason I love Mr Mime. A sadly overlooked but highly competent pseudo-defensive psychic type.
2. Hypno. Just love it. I can't describe it. Physical psychic types are hard to come by, and it learns such a good range of moves. Zen Headbutt, Drain Punch, Foul Play and Protect is a pretty neat set.
1. Persian. My broest of bros. I've often fantasised about if Pokemon were real, who'd be my walking partner as I wander around, trying to be relevant. It's always Persian. First off, it's a god-damn mountain lion. Secondly, it's adorable. Thirdly, if Ambipom didn't exist, it would be the ideal scout. Technician boosted STAB Fake Out and more than enough Speed to U-Turn the hell out of there if Return/Night Slash won't get the job done.
