I don't care how many in-betweens you're going to cherrypick, it's still bad CGI used in a bad manner. ufotable has been using the hand drawn characters on CGI backgrounds gimmick since forever and it doesn't look as hideous as XY. As long as the CGI is used to cut costs it's never going to look good. Not to mention XY has 0 (zero) digital compositing. I've seen better CGI in fucking 90's cartoons.
