Poor Jin the Ledian was destined for death it seems. Faced him off against a Hitmonlee in Chuck's gym. Keep in mind, fighting moves are only 0.25x effective against him. 2 swaggers and his confusion and anger toward Richard for taking Sun lead to him mauling himself. Hitmonlee hits the Hi-Jump Kick with a crit and the tragedy is complete.
However, Desmond is brought in off the bench to be with Penny. Now as a little Natu he was frankly useless. Had no offensive moves at all, not even night shade, when he was caught. No wonder he was so timid. However, with Penny's encouragement he has grown into a fine Xatu. He has grown in confidence to where he uses Fly to great effect despite his lowered attack nature. It is going to be a long time before he actually learns any Psychic moves, but with Penny by his side, anything is possible.
Shannon is modest and acts as such. I was excited to use Crunch with her but her nature precludes that. However, it has spiked the power of her psybeam. She single-handedly ran over Chuck with no problem at all. Same for Radio tower and the rockets. Mr. Eko was flashier when he swept Pryce and Jasmine, but Shannon is certainly pulling her weight.
Richard is in his final form. I'm using agility with him for now to offset Sun's slowness.

The satisfaction of watching Cynthia's Garchomp attack uselessly when it only has a couple turns left to live is the least the game owes us considering how it fucks us with freezing, paralyzing, endless hitting ourselves in confusion, way too many flinches in a row, etc.
