I'm checking that image and I don't see a single one which I wouldn't try to include in my team if I randomly caught it in some route. Maybe Lickitung, I don't care much for it but it has the Team Rocket appeal.
For other gens it's way more marked. Sinnoh or Unova start and... what the fuck is that plant thing? Burmy? Sorry I don't even care to see what you'll turn into, looks like a shitmon at first sight.
In stark contrast, you can intuitively tell Caterpie or Weevil will turn into something amazing one day - and they do.
I also couldn't care about the birds and... I can't even give you examples, I ignore hard most Gen 4+ mons. There is good ones, tons of them, but I'd never go out of my way to kick a Kantomon off my team to include Scorupi or Tynpole.
As for Johto the designs are good.. but it's like it was literally designed to make Kanto look even better. The Johto mons SCREAM "shitmon" all over them like Meowth and Ratata and Lickitung.
They're nice to have as enemies and to grind killing them on the grass, but I'm not dying to include Sentret, Bellosom or Stantler in my team's. They're background mons. Hoenn is Kanto-tier though, I also try to include them.
