As for contests, we need a concrete system for how to score them, but also sheer numbers. If we use three judges, which we should, we'll probably need at least 11 people to participate in the contest RP total for it to be interesting.
The biggest difficulty so far is the battle phase. The Appeals can be more or less a judged creative writing exercise on a timer, but we haven't figured out a good way to make the appeal score matter in battles, or how to implement a consistent and fair system for moves getting boosted by presentation value.
