Late to the party but man what a nonsense (literal) filler event. You don't even get to see the dynamax pokemon. Every time they try to be epic or grandiose in this game it falls hilariously flat with the reused voice lines, reused animations, models turning around in place just like in SWSH and the other post sun/moon games, attempts to suspend your disbelief and imagine something happening off-screen because they don't have the budget to show it, etc you know what I mean. And it all went by pretty quick too. Really by the numbers, going through the motions, and all-around disappointing. They should stick to small scale stuff instead of trying to raise the stakes without the oomph to back it up. Just reminds me of how I thought we'd be leaving pasio and going somewhere else with how much they were hyping big epic changes to the game's storyline and stakes, only for Lear to be like "TOURNAMENT TWO BAYBEEEE".
