HGSS introduced a level of simplicity that took years to recover from. Gen 4 was very ability driven, with the best decks having ridiculous combos that made attacks and HP almost an afterthought. Even shit that saw little to no play had crazy abilities. And then shit like this fucker and a dozen others come along and goes ME BIG HP BIG DAMAGE and that was that.
