Considered making one of my own, but I'm gonna cut to the chase and say I have no idea why they made a ghost type gym leader in gen 2, make Morty a dark specialist and he instantly gets better options. Additionally, having a dark type badge boost makes more sense than a ghost one in the game where dark moves get distribution and ghost is stuck with just shadow ball and lick.

But what, her schtick is already not being a type specialist. She just likes black pokemon. Also we're talking about the 4th gym leader and final elite four member, it's less egregious overlap than clair and lance.
