Man did I get lucky. So while I was preparing for Morty, I was pretty unsure of how it was going to go. The caterpie I had picked up started off at level 10, meaning it wouldn't get confusion. And the rest of my 'mons weren't especially good against morty's team. But then I recieved a call from that alan kid.
He gave me the fire stone and I immediately grabbed Blow Torch from the PC and evolved her. I wouldn't get flamethrower till 50 so I saw no reason to wait given I'm not going to wait that long.
Then the battle with morty began. Blow Torch took out the first two 'mons with bite, but was put to sleep right away from gengar. I switched into Flask, another hypnosis. Then Glasses, another hypnosis. Realizing a pokemon was probably gonna die, I just kept hitting hypnosis with glasses in case she woke up. The turn before he would die, she woke up and landed a hypnosis.
From there I was able to use an awakening on Blow Torch and finish off the rest of Morty's team. Intense shit.
