It the truest sense of the words Tanks should be able to tank hits and give them back. In fact more so than anything. In the vidya world Tanks are just there to soak up damage. Let me explain how this works in Pokemon:
There are mons with the proper stats to soak up NON-SUPER EFFECTIVE hits. These mons have what we like to call "bulk."
There are also moves that help ALL mons deal with a lack of health and we call these moves "recovery."
You can cry about offense being "too strong" but nobody is crying for "switch ad infinitum + status stall" the meta. Masochists need to gtfo.
