Shower with affection at first so she thinks that's the norm. Then suddenly I'd start to punish her severely for even the smallest mistakes. The look of shock when you first hit her would be wonderful.

After a while though I would become harsher and show affection less. I'd cut her off from the outside world and tell her I'm the only one who matters to her. Basically make her totally dependent on me, both physically and emotionally.
Then once she's devoted to me completely, I'd pretend to abandon her. Whatever it takes to force her to break down and turn her into a sobbing mess.
But I'd show up again and comfort her. Shower her with affection like the good old days.
And only after she's a total wreck and has given herself completely to me, then we fuck.

The very first time you punish her would be the best, honestly.
She burns something accidentally or maybe loses a match. You were incredibly kind after so she thinks you won't mind. The you shout at her. She's startled just a bit but thinks you're only joking. You could never be mean. So she gives you a nervous smile.
Then you hit her.
The shock is too great for her to cry at first. But the tears soon flow as you scold her. Once you're done you leave her to cry.
She tries to hold it in. She's a big girl now, not a little Fennekin anymore. As you walk away though, you can hear her give in and start to wail.
After about an hour to herself, she meekly walks up to you. Head down and eyes still red. Without looking up she offers you a gift. A berry she found and is giving to you to show she's sorry.
At last you forgive her and shower her with affection once more.
You tell her not to do whatever she did again and she nods and smiles brightly. She's just happy you forgave her.
