Summary:
Since 1 week ago when I did my last report, people have become increasingly comfortable with the new pokemon and new rules. They've ironed out their teams and have corrected weaknesses and inefficiencies. This has led to a severe fall-off in the use of Torkoal + Oranguru cheese strat, as teams have found easy ways to deal with it. People have discovered that Eruption decreases in damage proportional to Torkoal's HP.
The current meta is balanced-offense with a heavy reliance on Intimidate. Boosting strategies have lowered in use.
People are now using damage z-moves to eliminate key threats to their team. This generation is an opportunity for previously ignored pokemon to add power to their attacks by using z-moves. Pokemon with middle-tier offensive stats and access to a niche ability are being picked up on certain teams.
