I finally encountered a Gloom and made the unfortunate decision to replace Solid Snake with it since I already had a Ground-type. This would prove to be a huge mistake. First Tabitha sent out a Regirock, and I knew YepItsWood was the only mon I had that could tank Explosion, but it had Superpower too. I had no other options, so I Low Kicked and it barely did anything after a Curse boost, then Regirock started firing off Superpowers, the first of which I miraculously lived on 1. I heal spammed until Superpower did less than half then killed it with a crit Meteor Mash.
And then Maxie happened. Mother. Fucking. Maxie. His Alakazam absolutely obliterated Darude with Psybeam and Future Sight. I tried to sack off my HM slave for a free switch-in to Fanglyfish (the most specially bulky mon on my team) for the parahax, but of course it used Future Sight before taking out the HM slave, meaning Fanglyfish was taking two hits in one turn. I avoided Psybeam confusionhax long enough to land Thunder Wave but then Future Sight finished it off. You had ONE job, Focus Band. One. Thanks to the paralysis Bubs outsped and finished it off with Huge Power Tackle.
Three mons dead and all because I boxed Steelix. Fuck.
