>>47993842For me, I always enjoyed the story and characters more than I did in gen 3. I also enjoyed the presentation of the environments, and they got a lot more ambitious with areas like Castelia City. Personally, I also always enjoyed Black and White's music more, the sequels also added nice touches like music for final pokemon for gym leaders on top of a LOT of quality of life improvements.
Also in general the pokemon they added in Gen V are pretty good except for the garbage one, but in its own way it still has a charm to it. Pokemon like Bisharp, Hydregion, and Genesect all felt really unique and are a lot better than anything we've gotten since. Gen 3 also has a lot of great pokemon that are comparable, but I think in the end BW was just way more ambitous with what it tried to achieve. It felt like a last hurrah for the series to be honest.
