I downloaded the patched ROM and a .sav file from a friend who somehow changed the trainer IDs of every wild caught pokemon to not match my own. The starter was probably genned in at some point because the ID there doesn't match the player character either.I'm impressed your friend managed to do that lmao, I wouldn't even know where to start pulling something like that. Nice we got all those issues resolved though, good luck with the rest of your run whenever you decide to boot it up again anon.
This convo has inspired me, next time I play Volt White I'm gonna try a mono-bug run with a Genesect ace, Unova alone has so many good bug types to work with. I'll even do some further rom editing myself to make Leech Life equivalent to its gen 7+ counterpart too among other changes, should be fun!
