>Butterfree - Bug Flying to Bug/Psychic
It had no Flying moves in its movepool in 1st generation. It had SEVEN psychic moves though.
>Golduck - pure Water to Water/Psychic
Emerald's Pokedex: It uses psychic powers when its forehead shimmers with light. Also, its preform, Psyduck, was commonly associated with powers as well.
>Gyarados - Water/Flying to Water/Dragon
No flying moves in movepool in 1st generation. It had Dragon Rage and was used by dragon specialist though. Also, flying typing makes no sense if you are not Japanese.
>Noctowl - Normal/Flying to Flying/Psychic
Half of its learnset is psychic type. Owls are associated with wisdom (so psychic kinda makes sense). We had no need of another Normal/Flying. I'm still sad it's not Flying/Psychic.
>Lugia - Psychic/Flying to either Water/Flying or Water/Psychic
Lugia is Guardian of the Seas. It lives underwater. It has water moves in its learnset. What the hell happened there?
>Masquerain - not Bug/Flying
While Bug/Flying makes sense it's sad because of how common this typing is. It could be unique Bug/Water like Surskit.
>Solrock - Rock/Psychic to Fire/Rock
Its color and shape suggest Fire typing. It has a lot of Fire moves in its movepool in 3rd gen. Its Pokedex entries fit Fire type more than Psychic type.
>Luxray - pure Electric to Electric/Dark
It has some Dark moves in its movepool in 4th gen. Most of its fur is black for no reason. I say, it's a missed opportunity for unique typing.
>Skorupi/Drapion - both either Poison/Dark or Poison/Bug
Okay, this one is very subjective. My brain couldn't remember sudden change from Poison/Bug (Skorupi) to Poison/Dark (Drapion). I'm sorry Snips.
>Florges - pure Fairy to Grass/Fairy
She's a flower. She lives in gardens. Its learnset consists of only grass and fairy moves (excluding Lucky Chant and Wish).
