The 3DS remake of Dragon Quest Monsters 2 is the absolute pinnacle of the monster-catching genre. The game is an actual masterpiece, it accomplishes every goal that it sets out to achieve spectacularly. If you have a homebrewed 3DS, you owe it to yourself to play the english translation, it completely blows X&Y and Sun&Moon out of the water; I can't gush about it enough and it's genuinely criminal that it never released outside of Japan.
