Probably shouldn't Nuzlocke while I'm tired because I just keep dropping the ball on this run. Yellobelly shouldn't have been out on a Boldore (though to be fair he would've won without the crit and Yankee or Bambi were a bit too hurt and frail to just switch in). That Simipour in the rain is a real killer though and even if I had expected it I feel like it would've done damage. Especially since it comes just after the Ace Trainer triple battle that I actually was prepared for. Kinda fun to see the difficulty being decided by the season mechanic though. So we welcome some new faces again. Still a little undecided between Frillish and Basculin, but I feel like we have much better use for a strong and fast attacker than another slow bulky one. Besides, Basculin fits that B-team vibe we seem to be going very well.
Gelato and Gearbox beat Skyla pretty easily. Vanillish does feel surprisingly good, but honestly it's not enough to make me like the guy just yet. Maybe if he beats the Dragon Gym.
>>57633003Probably the hardest fight in any vanilla pokémon game, but obviously not impossible. Without cheese you'll have to accept casualties though.
>>57631730Honestly nothing takes the fun out of nuzlockes for me like using calculators. I like just playing it by ear based on what I estimate will happen and letting myself be surprised when something turns out much faster, bulkier or stronger than I anticipate.
>>57632637Got nothing more to say that hasn't been said before on rare candy fuelled "hardcore" runs, but that is the best pokemon gif I've ever seen. Even better than the dancing regis one.
>>57631729I actually think Clemont is the most difficult gymleader in XY, so don't underestimate it. His Magneton also has a Steel Move which could hurt Khan.
>>57634744I think SM have similar encounters? But even XY only have like 2 of them, it's really weird. I always just stay far away from them. At least Scolipede isn't bad either.
