>>51735472As much as people love to hate it, I unironically believe plot is what elevates gen 7 lolis above the rest. All of the Alola lolis are plot relevant characters you are forced to spend several hours with. You spend most of the game getting hanging out them, seeing them interact with other lolis and learning about their hobbies and interests.
No other game aside for the Alola games spends so much time getting you to know its characters.
