>>54886293My plan is to lead with butterfree, sleep and sweep who i can, and switch around as needed. Kricketune is the least valuable. As long as avoid explosion, her only pokemon that scares me is whirlipede who is very tanky with eviolite and very fast with speed boost.
First attempt: easy win, no losses. Venonat got unreasonably lucky with quick claw, and whirlipede never got to attack.
2nd attempt: butterfree solo swept, which required koffing attacking instead of using toxic. i chanced my hurt butterfree against ghastly waking up and using icy wind, unsure if it would have killed.
3rd: butterfree runs through trubbish, qwilfish, and koffing without getting hit. takes a lot of damage from ghastlys icy wind after sleep powder missed. venonat comes in for ivysaur and wins but takes some damage. beautifly safely finishes whirlipede with stun spore and gust.
4th attempt: butterfree sweeps without getting hit.
I think thats enough. Butterfrees +spd nature comes in helpful here because it lets him outspeed qwilfish who would otherwise get one hit in before being slept, and butterfree being at full hp makes fighting ghastly and koffing safe, though I am confident my team wins without issue anyway.
Roxie down gives us a level cap of 29 for Burgh, though I expect I am going to need more with how badly his pokemon outclass mine.
Surskit comes off the bench to replace kricketune and i evolve him to masquerian, who i have high hopes for. I tried to fight brawly after but couldn't, so I guess ive lost a pokemon for good by not fighting him before roxie. The plasma grunts are no trouble.
Brycen, however, required a bit of grinding up to lvl 24/25 for everyone, and I learned that bug is not weak to ice. After several tries I got it down consistently without losses.
