I like a 3/3 Johto/Kanto split personally but sometimes I'll go for more or less of one. If you asked me on the spot to make a Johto only team though it'd look like

IMO Johto was designed as a very direct continuation rather than the formula we're used to, hence how much Kanto mons/etc. feature more prominently than many Johto ones, like Falkner not having fucking Hoothoots and Natu for instance.
