When the player arrives in Viridian City, they will find that the path north is blocked by a drunk man. Since this path is blocked, they will naturally explore the rest of the city.
The player will find some new interesting buildings. One says "POKe", and the player then learns that this marks the Pokémon Center, where they can heal their Pokémon, as well as access the PC that the NPC in Pallet Town praised as amazing technology.
