The pixel art designs of every town and route from Gold & Silver was absolute kino.
Having the expanded GSC dex from the start was good too, no restrictions on evolving Pokémon, I liked they only added evo families from newer gens, and no other pokemon. The multiple rematches progressively getting harder against gym leaders and the elite four was good too.
Removal of EV's, IV's, and Nature's was good too. But I like how it kept held items and abilities. Defeating the Champion and getting a Pokémon with an event exclusive move was also a neat addition. Enjoyed being able to have my first in party being able to follow me as well. Mew under the truck was a nice touch.
