>>12919911I have a theory about why Gen 3 seems to be the most split when it comes to love and hate.
I think that this board is really split in age groups, anytime someone does one of those age threads, the demographic here is pretty big. What I'm getting at is, for a lot of people here Gen 3 was their first gen, but for the older folks Gen 3 came out at an awkward time. I was in 8th grade when Gen 3 hit, soon to enter high-school. None of my peers or friends seemed interested in Pokemon anymore, and most kids would tease you about it.
So I'm thinking that the younger crowd loves Gen 3 because they experienced the joy of Pokemon with child eyes, while the older folks probably had to keep it to themselves, or deal with other kids and teens making fun of them, and maybe that's why they hold Gen 3 in such a low light.
My personal opinion though? 4>5>2>3>1
