>>57138945That's a regular thing in the TCG. Like back in the first couple sets, 70 was the big target damage point to hit (although few things could). In the GS era, most of the big threats had 80 or 110/120 HP, so either being able to do 40 or 80 damage were huge.
I used to run pic related as an anti-meta card. 90 HP put it outside the target damage everyone was doing and it hit in multiples of 40. Plus it hit Entei/Marcargo for weakness, which was one of the most obnoxious decks at the time.
