Thankfully this is Hoenn so I have plenty of water types to choose from. Excited to snag a Staryu in Lilycove now that I have the Super Rod.
Mossdeep Gym went really well thanks to Mangle and Orbulon. Surf Spam works really well against their team. Xatu got a little scary setting up Calm Mind, but Crunch took care of it. Also really thankful for Thanaotos who took care of the gym trainer's Wobbuffet with swords dance.
Gonna be playing more carefully as I move into the end of the game and decide on the team I want to carry over.
