But seriously, I've got no sympathy for Nintendo tonight. If they'd filed a C&D sooner (like, say, a day or two after the trailer hit) like a responsible company I'd be less mad, but they took the maximum douchebag route and deliberately waited until just before the release date to bring the hammer down. They would've done it with Uranium and AM2R too if they'd known the release dates and instead settled with purging links immediately after. It's like you're about to win 1st place in a World Cup only to have a meteor descend onto your car right before the finish line.
I get wanting to protect their IPs and all, but they need to stop doing it in the cruelest ways possible. They're not official games, they're just fanworks that aren't even intended to turn a profit, and to C&D something just because it looks GOOD ENOUGH to be official is a terrible business attitude. I'm going to sit back and laugh at Nintendo as everyone enjoys this labor of love Ninty seemed to think was physically harmful to them.
