>>21910702Different anon, feeling's mutual. I think people have just adopted the mentality that any post-game > no post game for now. Honestly prefer the latter than something tacked on for longevity. The way I see it, post-game = extra content and nothing else. No matter what's after the elite four, it shouldn't decide the quality of the entire game. Anyone claiming it's a dull experience solely without all the extra shit is playing for the wrong reasons.
I think the games themselves are at least an 8/10 on their own. I love the things they did add to them and appreciate that they're faithful remakes to R/S. DexNav is great, Eon Flute is a neat albeit dry feature, the story's presentation is the best to date. And although Hoenn is a favorite of mine, it's reliance on HM's and it's lacking Pokemon selection do bring it down a little. Still, absolutely solid games in my eyes. I like them a lot.
