Man I do love this wallpaper set.
The sad truth of it is that the leap of faith becomes larger with every game. Game Freak having 3 games under development for 2 hardware platforms during almost any given year is a sucky situation in any capacity, but what point does what we get become what we get?
2013: XY is XY
2014: ORAS is complete within itself but doesn't meet the bar for late-gen Pokemon game for a short dev time (Masuda's said so much since then that his Battle Frontier comment, while probably true, could mean anything)
2016: Sun/Moon is "20th Anniversary at any cost".
2018: Let's Go is largely vapid filler trying to capitalize on a free phone game that peaked two years ago.
It is true, technically, that the 3DS era could be a victim of circumstance and Let's Go is tech-familiarizing fluff. But when does it end? Will Gen 8 get by on the hardware transition card yet again, so we wait for the NEXT game and the cycle continues?
