Look at this pretty standard rain team.
You've got Pelipper to set the rain, Gyarados to spam boosted waterfalls, Mega Swampert gets a speed boost, Ferrothorn becomes an unbreakable wall with fire moves weakened, Koko is free to spam accurate Thunders, and Tornadus can spam accurate Hurricanes.
Sun only gives you boosted fire moves, solar beam, and a few mediocre grass type sweepers.
