Competitively, Charizard is obviously not very good because of Stealth Rock, but aesthetically, Charizard is a beacon of light in the ugly sea that is Gen I pokemon. Call it nostalgia, but Charizard will always be a classic design to me. I'm not usually a fan of Pokemon that are designed to be overly cool/edgy/badass, but Charizard is one that does it correctly (Scizor is another one).
