Typhlosion is MILES more popular then Feraligatr is; and im speaking as a massive gatrfag. Image has a few polls I easily dug up if you want that, but Typhlosion gets MUCH more artwork then Feraligatr does if you want even more comparison.
Easy reason? Typhlosion has fur, and its a fire type living off of Charizard. Feraligatrs design has nothing over the same type. This makes Typhlosion incredibly popular with furfags.
I think what you might be thinking is this: oldfags (GSC) tend to like Feraligatr more, while newfags (HGSS) ran with Typhlosion, and they are much more rampant these days.
