>It is said to emerge from darkness to steal the lives of those who become lost in mountains.
Washizu stole the blood of young people earning him the nickname of a 'vampire'. However, unlike the bat pokémon, Gengar doesn't suck their life force/blood to sruvive, but seems to do it out of pure malicious intent, like Washizu.
Absol:
Seen just before disasters, but gone when they happen. Reflects Washizu's ability to be in a place just before disaster like in the war due to his ability to almost predict the future and escape his death. It also has the ability Super Luck, and Washizu has been described as having a "God-like" luck, which almost even allowed him to beat Akagi at Mahjong.
Xatu:
Can see the future, and it stands still, pensive, because it is said it sees horrible things. Washizu's genius allowed him to leave the military and survive the war just before Japan was destroyed, leading to people claim he could "see the future".
Kingambit:
Washizu considers himself the secret king/emperor of Japan, and Kingambit is a chess King with an obviously very Japanese design. Additionaly, it is Dark type, and Washizu is so evil he escaped Hell after leading a revolution.
Gholdengo:
Washizu loves money. Having it and gaining more is all he cares for. Gholdengo has an ability that lets you gain 5X more money at the end of a battle.
Yveltal:
Washizu is terrified of death since he is so old, and wishes he were immortal, coping with this fear by killing young men. Yveltal steals the life of things around itself just when it is about to die, then rejuvenates, like Washizu wishes he could do.
