I love how it's way less ball busting to fill the dex. Between Friend Safaris, Wonder Trade, and the not-retarded users of the GTS, I'm actually having a lot of fun just catchin' em all. This has made the lack of an endgame way less noticeable for me. I REALLY wish there was more to do/explore after the E4, as well as the level jump.
I do really miss Join Avenue though. Similar services are provided in Lumiose, but having it all in one spot and upgradeable really spoiled me. Just another good example of GF adding great things while doing away with great things.
Also, player customization is wonderful and has finally freed my from the crippling autism that was having to stick with the canon name. I really hope XYZ or whatever the hell gets even more options.
