He was just so sweet, he was a mere homeless man when I found him, all shaggy and whatnot, while I was raised to be one of the most elegant ladies in town. Everytime I went out, he made sure to be outside, kindly asking for change of any amount, that and seeing me enter and exit said buildings would be the highlights of his days. I can remember one day, I was quite rude to him, which prompted him to explain his life-story...He lost everything in a fire caused by an ex-lover of his fiancee, and he was fearing his sanity was next."
Lilligant sits down, her head lying on the tombstone, "I initially felt pity for him, and began to give change whenever I saw him in the following days. Gradually, we opened up more, and I saw him so many times that not a day went by where we at least did not exchange a greeting. One day, when I finally acquired a house of my own, I realized how caring he was on the inside, despite his outwardly outside appearance, so I invited him to live with me. At first, he declined, but after I told him of the opportunities a new home would bring, he accepted."
Lilligant covers her mouth again, tears now streaming, "And after some more time, we turned from roommates into lovers, a decision I often regard as the best I ever made in my life."
"He died four years prior to this day. I come here at least once a week, but on the anniversary of his passing, I spend longer time than usual, just remembering what we had done together, the trials we overcame, the people who saw us as a forbidden taboo, and overall, the fun I had."
"I never entered another relationship, I'm too faithful to leave this warm soul all alone.."
