No handholding, less story, more exploration. Allow us to do shit out of order.

Make battles play out faster. It's 2019 and they still do the "read out move, then show the animation" thing as if they're still GB games, instead of just showing the move name and animation at the same time like every other turn-based JRPG does at this point.
Kalos as a second region. Unpopular one I know. Kalos was a mediocre region in my eyes but I still feel it had potential to be something greater.
