Honestly the only way they could have made her smaller involvement work was if they introduced a B-Story into most episodes where she does something in the background to the A-Story/Main Story and maybe have it resolve alongside the main duo's antics with the occasional episodes dedicated to her for bigger pieces of growth. As it stands she has almost no interaction with Ash and most of the time she seem's to just be Goh's girl as nearly every interaction between the boys is thru him. Hell even in the Police episode the one who showed off to her was Goh.

Funny enough the only Koharufag I have seen that is reasonable to their love of the character was the last thread with the diaperfag saying he finds her cute but not a deep character. That's the truth, she is cute to some but in no way is she a deep character. She's shallow as all hell because she hasn't really been given room to grow.
