>>33028610/vp/ hates it but I enjoy it. Give it a try. The first game is completely skippable. The story doesn't matter and the second game is a lot better. You might as well wait until Psychic Spectres comes out in fall though. It's pretty much an improved third version like Emerald or Platinum.
The biggest problem with the games is that befriending yokai is completely rng. You can improve your chances with food and some abilities but it can still take forever.
