There's a lot I hate, and not even solely from 8th gen. I fucking hate mega evolutions, dynamaxing, gigantimaxing, etc. It all seems like a dumb, convoluted way to go about "buffing" otherwise shitty pokemon with what seems like a band-aid solution. Z moves are a little less dumb to me, but I still don't like them too much.
That, and I can't stand when I see a decent pokemon, and instead of getting an evolution, it gets a pre-evolution revealed later. God damn it, why. I don't want any baby pokemon, even if they are cute.
Also, I know it's the common opinion here, but that ice penguin pokemon is probably the worst thing I've ever seen in pokemon ever.
Also also feels bad that the starter evos are all decent at best. I don't think I'd rate any of them higher than a 5 or 6 out of 10. The reveals of them was massively disappointing.
