If anything, there had been an underlying air of disappointment because no one got to see him actually fight. A thing I may have failed to rectify is that Dusk as a battler is actually good. Obscenely so; his arrogance had certainly not been unwarranted. But indeed, his thrill-seeking ended up costing him royally.
But let's just say he's definitely had some time to reflect as his health declined. Despite still being playfully antagonistic, I want to try to convey how much more of his actual personable self shows through. After all, his pokemon still loved him all the same.
