i didn't catch the animation as i entered the battle because i was looking at something on my PC and out of the corner of my peripheral vision i noticed a shiny pidgey. my paranoid ass checks EVERY god damn time for signs of slight discoloration because especially early shinies are autistically similar to their original colours and the shitty screen doesn't help either. pic related.
