If they insist on doing that, I would prefer it not to be remakes. I'd like instead for SM2 to start off and take place primarily in the Kanto region, with a different starting town and storyline and all that, whereas Alola would be aftergame.
I think it'd be a good balance of catering to normies while also bringing something new to the table that we can all get behind.
